and Richard Carpenter loved Plymouth's.  This Danbury duo would be right up his alley.

Me too George. This is my favourite Carpenters song. Its now 41 years since Karen passed away, and in the most tragic circumstances. Taken far far too soon

Superstar is my favorite Carpenters song.  Such a tragic waste that Karen passed on so young from such an affliction.  I have seen Richard interviewed several times and of course she inevitably comes up in the discussion; his sorrow is so evident.  I feel so sorry for his loss; especially given their successful history together.

Karen Carpenter's voice was one of the purest I had ever heard. As I understand it Richard and his father were both car enthusiest and were very active in the Chrysler 300 club. I also recall a 1963 Thunderbird Sports Roadster was sold not too long ago that was claimed to have belonged to Richard.

@bob-jackman Bob;  I have seen it written a number of times that Richard has a decent collection of early 60s Chryco vehicles as well as other various marques.

Over the years, several old car magazines have presented photo features on Richard's MOPAR collection.
