Around 20 years ago, one of the Pauls who used to frequent this site (Kravchak or the other one whose name I can't remember) offered a kit to modify Franklin Mint's 1955 Bel Air.  The kit consisted of five mag wheels and standard front and rear bumpers with instruction on how to do it.  A Dremel tool was required to remove the fender skirts.  Here's the first diecast car I modified with the kit. I also nosed and decked it.

I'm always overwhelmed and impressed with your fine work Pete Rovero.  You've got the gift!  I admire your craftsmanship with much envy.

Thanks John, Bob, and George!  But honestly, with the instructions in the kit, anyone could do this.  The scary part was cutting off the skirts.

BEAUTIFUL Paul Kravchak did one for me as well; the yellow & black 56 Chevy. You'd never have known the fender skirts were ever a part of the model. There was another 'Paul' who did terrific modifications, and his name escapes me too.
