Nice kit found the color from a choice from google images. Would love to do more 40s, 50s, 60s, American cars but most seem to be made by AMT and I've found a lot of them have molded door handles, and an absolute no no for me, molded chrome headlight lenses. Moebius models dont seem to have these issues but have only a small range. This Pontiac is a lovely car. Admired it in many pictures. Not sure if it sold in Australia, the later vertical quad headlight mid 60s Pontiacs were sold here and were real favorites.

Geoff:  A premium build.  Very nice.  Question: Did you use the chrome tape for the chrome accents?

WOW!  Great find and great work Geoff!  I'd love to still have all my plastic models that I had as a kid.  Lost them in a house fire in 1971.  Thanks for sharing the Pontiac!

@georgeschire thanks George the fire experience must have been terrible, even though a long time ago. Not something we would ever forget.

@carsman1958 thanks John, all of the chrome used came with the kit including the little accents on top of the front fenders. I just wished I had the skill to paint the recessed accents along each full side body panel. How great would they look in white with a surrounding thin chrome trim? Also a while back u asked about replicating 'timber looks'. We've found adding at least one coat of ordinary timber wood stain to top off the painted plastic produces a very realistic affect.
