Almost didn't post this model. I really need to start practicing chrome trim and body feature skills! Some models I can get away with not trimming completely but not this one. I'm OK now with paint masking areas like seats so time to skill up! Hudsons are great cars. To me their post war models have a great visual blend of beauty and toughness. They actually sold here in Australia from 1916 but only in limited numbers post WWII. This is a great kit. My colors are pretty accurate. Body color is a bit in between the 2 shades of blue on offer but the tan and light grey interior was an offered combination and I'm pretty close there.

Glad you posted the pics.  I've always liked this model when I've seen it at the Hobby Store.

thanks Mike, much appreciated. And thank you George, its not a difficult model to complete, around mid skill level I'd say. Only annoyingly difficult bit was window fitting, but came out OK in the end. Trying to match the correct paint colors is enjoyable too.

I love your color combination Geoff.  Sometimes it's a bit of a challenge to replicate stock colors, especially if you're trying to match them from internet pictures, or even 1:1s. Your Hudson came out real nice!

thanks Pete, are you going to repaint yours? Heres a 1954 Hudson color chart I found. I reckon I'm somewhere between Beret Blue Poly and Algerian Blue Poly. The interior colors are from the kit instruction sheet.

I'd love to have this one in 1/24.  To say my modeling skills are "limited" would be the understatement of the year.  Nice work!

thank you, John, Mark and John. There are a couple of other early 50s Hudson kits available that I'm keen to have a go at.

Hi Geoff, probably not going to repaint this one!  BTW, the antenna arrived today!  Thank you, thank you very much for your generosity as I can see it's not cheap to send something to the States from Australia! Once I get it mounted and do a bit more polishing, I'll post pics.
