Here is the latest kit I built. A 1940 Ford custom pick up by monogram. Decided to paint it Black like the FM model I could display it with bed rails or the tonneau cover.  Unfortunately, the paint did not turn out great on the cab.  This was the model that I painted 3 times and stripped 3 times to not have fish eyes.  All in all from a distance it does not look bad in my honest opinion.

It looks excellent ! A classic pickup and you are probably the only person who could tell the paint job is not perfect. (in other words, much like a real '40 Ford pickup !)

looks great John, I haven't worried about slight imperfections in paint on the trucks and pickups I've done. As Mike says, they are like the real pickup. To me like a real working vehicle.

Love it! The wheels, wood bed rails and the louvers set it off wonderfully!

Thanks all.  Like Geoff, I enjoy building, especially while I still can.
