You guys seem to like these relics I salvaged from my misspent youth, so here's some futuristic designs by Mattel from 1954 of what we'd be driving in the far-off future of 1960. I never abused these guys like I did to the bulk of my toy vehicles during my "terrible tweens", nor did my father give them away to the local kids while I was in the service. These 3 cars all have friction motors. The trim on the two smaller ones are just metallic tape that amazingly held up. The larger (deluxe?) model is actually pressed metal. I resurrected them only by polishing the hell out of all the plastic which fortunately only had minor scratches. The 2 smaller ones are 8 1/4" and the larger is 10 1/4".

My thoughts exactly....amazing really. They should all be played with to pieces or blown to bits with firecrackers at least! Lol.
