Because I am working on another 1/24 vignette, as well as the 1/43 and the 1/18 already in progress, I have begun ordering 1/24 scale figures to see how they will work out. I have been very pleased with the 1/18 figures I have purchased, but I have some concerns about how their features will appear at a smaller scale. Here is one of the first from the Orient, which arrived today:
When placed next to an American Diorama 1/24 figure she appears somewhat diminished in size:
(Yes, I will have to get out my paints and brushes to fix the hairline on the AD figure. I cannot fathom why they don't pay attention to the details and make a better figure)
The newcomer was to be paired with this Maisto Bugatti Bolide, but I no longer have confidence she will work with this vehicle.
I have purchased figures from various sources, painted and some unpainted (no close up's of the one's I've painted), they do very in quality quite a bit. GDH, Miss Targaryen actually looks very good.. This is my NEON Dinner I have been working on for about the last 18 months or so...
She looks great and will be terrific for a display or a photograph. Asian young ladies tend to be a bit smaller in stature than many young American Caucasian gals, so she might be size-appropriate in that regard.

Everyone's figures here look terrific. But, Greg, your bar & diner diorama are golden!! The liquor bottles and poured drinks on one side and the food on the other, is magnificent!
