Note: These are just hand sample prototypes sent for approval. Funny... I don't think I ever knew that top-of-the-line Chevys had disappearing headlamps. Then again, I was on the other side of the world in those years.

They do look nice.  But wish they had operating features for the price point they are asking.

Rich, Concealed headlamps were an extra cost option only on the Caprice, and only available for two years, 1968 and 1969.  From what I can see, this Kingswood Estate options include the fender-mounted light monitoring system, bumper guards, luggage carrier, and rear air deflector.  Thanks for posting the pics of the different colors!

The black with tan interior version would be my choice; a very nice model.

In a recent conversation with Jim Cowan he mentioned that a pale yellow has been added to this model when it goes into production...... he also said that the model should be available in June.

@bob-jackman

Butternut yellow would be my first choice, Bob.  Yellow and woodgrain vinyl look great together.

@pete-rovero I agree that pale yellow looks fantastic on most woody wagons.  I am going with that color on Sergio's '67 Ford Squire that is coming this year plus I have a few other marques in pale yellow, so as much as I love this color I'll change it up to black on the '69 Chevy just for some variation on display.

@jack-dodds

Black looks great too, maybe I'll have to get a couple of these.

BTW, I would love a '67 CS in yellow.  Tell Sergio to start making 1:24 scale and he's got another customer!

@bob-jackman The yellow prototype arrived damaged so no pics were  taken.

@pete-rovero Pete Butternut Yellow is my favorite shade of yellow. I preordered this model from Jim in this color. Jack, I too am going with this color on the 67 CS from Goldvarg.

I'm really not collecting this scale anymore, but models like these are always tempting. I would be very much interested in the Butternut Yellow too. Not sure why I did it, I just recently picked up 2 Pontiac Fiero models that Automodello issued in 2022. They are nicely done.
