Great photos Hollis. Mine is in transit and should arrive today. I'm excited like a kid at

Christmas.

Got mine yesterday. Nice model. Realized that when Highway 61 had the tooling they produced the same image as this only it did not have the vinyl roof. Side by side, they are exactly the same except for the vinyl roof.

Glad I got this one. Nice to see a box from Danbury even if it does have the ACME logo on it. Kinda seems like old times.

Nice!! Mine came today too...

I haven't fully opened it up yet. I like the DM box and certificate. I wonder why DM didn't keep all their old tooling as they new in advance that the "C" and "L" factories were closing. They could have moved the tools to whomever made this model and keep repaints coming. Or lease to places like ACME. any idea why DM didn't retain what they invested in?

It looks good. Despite the fact I have the yellow version and two of the original black ones that were issued by HWY61, and of course the price. I ordered it anyway. I hope this will lead to something new coming down the road. While we will never have available what existed before, some new tooling along these lines will be welcomed.

HWY 61?

Who exactly was HWY 61? Did they close?
