DM's venerable 1956 Ford F-100 half ton pickup offered some surprising features for a 3 decades old (1994) model. I was impressed with the 3-D cast badges at a time when they were just routinely tampo'd on. 1956 marked the last of the 2nd generation F-100s. By then, there was some decent horsepower under the hood. The engine replicated here is the 272 cid "Y-Block" V8 that produced 162 HP with a cargo hauling 280 lb/ft of torque. Farmer Brown's kid could really tear up the cornfield in this baby.

A beautiful model Rich. My first truck model was the red/white DM '57 Chevy Cameo. Still have it, still love it. I have the turquoise/white version also. 😊Â
Rich, Another one of my favorites from DM. I have 5 of the 56's, this one, The yellow custom, Black, Yankee's and a Texaco.
Another beautiful model with wonderful photos. This style of Ford pickup has always been my favorite. Each one of the versions DM issued is a gem.
