I've been hooked on prewar Rolls models from the very start and this 1907 Silver Ghost Open Touring car was the model that kicked it off. FM always seemed to put a bit more fidelity and quality into their Rolls models as they evolved from the early days and this model was dazzling at the time and still holds up well over the following decades.
Wonderful post Rich. This was my first Franklin Mint model which led me into several dozen more over the years. I've parted with many of them but still have this one on display.
Rich That was my first FM as well and I have all of the subsequent ones as well.
Talk about pictures bringing a model to life! Great stuff Rich. This was my second FM after the red Mercedes. 1986, incredible, 35 years ago. Heres a potted history of AX201:
When searching for this info I saw so many beautiful pre-war Rolls, I would have bought all and any others FM may have produced. Have added a couple of 1/43s, and I have my eye on at least one 1/18.

A very nice model. Not my 1st as I didn't add this one until many years after it was issued.
Excellent photos of this classic.
