I swapped wheels on my Chather 500 and the yellow hemi Charger. Then painted the hood flat black on the yellow one.

Very cool! Dog Dish caps look good on very few and select cars! These two look fantastic!
David, what a difference the wheels make. The only other change to really make it stand out would be white letter tires. Just my opinion.
Nice Dave! Both Chargers are transformed with just a simple wheel swap.
John S, did you purchase that Charger from Hollis? I wonder where the bench seat came from.
These look fantastic! Can you show how to swap the wheel hubs on these two Danbury models?
Thanks
Nice mods.
This is very nicely done and looks much better. Well done!
I never understood the popularity of Dog Dish hub caps. Back in the day, no one would be caught dead on Woodward Ave. with a car adorned in the poverty caps. We always had mag wheels and/or after-market rims on our cars. The ONLY exception is the day we picked up our car from the dealer. To save money, we might have ordered the car from the factory with dog dish caps but only because we planned on driving from the new car dealer to Gratiot Auto Supply to get the proper rims! Only then would we show up on Woodward Ave. to show off our car! But to drive a car on Woodard Ave with dog dish caps??? Never happened! We would have been crucified by all of the other fellow muscle enthusiasts!
Yes, I believe I bought it from him on eBay a while back, and he did a great job! Here's a couple more pics

I totally agree. I couldn't afford any cool rims for my first cars, so I'd just take the wheel covers off. I even made my own red line tires by using a red wax marker over the white walls. However, over the years the "bone stock" look of dog dish hub caps and black wall tires has grown on me.

Thanks for providing the additional pics. I guess Hollis didn’t migrate over to the new site. I miss seeing his “Guys busy at the shop” series.
Hollis got his money's worth outa that series. I would have liked to have seen more of his modification process. I kept asking him to make the characters talk!
