The '55 Oldsmobile, like their Buick counterpart always amazed me by the amount of room in the back seat. It seemed like you could sleep a family of four in there. I like the unusual shape of the fender skirts that didn't extend to the bottom of the body but rather gave it a swooping reveal with it on and full access to the wheel with it off. This old DM model still looks pretty nice.
That is a very nice model. I was never real fond of the 1:1, but the model is great. I have all three of the convertibles issued, but this one is still my favorite.

I always liked the air cleaner and thought it interesting that both Oldsmobile and Cadillac shared the same design. I liked the design enough that when I built my Hot Rod several years ago that I put on a reproduction. The reproduction featured a paper filter while the originals were oil bath.
Being a life-long Oldsmobile lover, the '55's have always been one of my favorites. From 1954 through 1959, I'd take any Oldsmobile of those years. With the exception of the '56 Cadillac, those Oldsmobile's were the GM styling leaders in Fifties in my opinion. I have all four of DM's 1:24's.

Hi Rich, The reproduction is not an oil bath. The originals are.
