A PERFECT study of cheese sir!! I developed a taste for fine cheese growing up in a Sicilian family. Enjoyed the best Parmesano-Reggiano both on the Original "Nostalgic Orient Express" from Zurich, Switzerland, to Lake Como, Italy. Then again in Bellagio, Italy, on the lake itself, at Villa Serbeloni. In the French Pyrenees we enjoyed Tomme de Chevre Aydius and I still buy it today. The Pecorino Romano is made readily available by Boar's Head, that we get locally.
true or not.....This is a WONDERFUL story ...........are you hinting that there is a Parmesano-Reggiano that is SUPERIOR to Consorzio Vacche Rosse ?
and.................is THIS the form that your Tomme de Chevre Aydius takes ??
To be honest, I have not had Consorzio Vacche Rosse Parmesano-Reggiano. I have had Emilia Romagna's P-R and it was so fantastic, it was all I have ever ordered. And yes, sir, that is precisely what the TdCA looks like!!!
@perrone1_____ tell you what......Emilia Romagna is no slouch in presenting a Disney-would-be-jealous website experience...even the cows on those farms seem to have agents and a dedicated press corps....along with a parallel thread of simmering goat shanks, this photo from Emilia Romagna,a wedge of PR drizzled with aged Balsamic, has pushed me over the top.....I`m going to prepare my Tomato Soup and hardtack breakfast now
@john-barry That multi-syllable named fromage looks really good JB, but it's kinds gone crusty and almost moldy on the outside; I recommend Saran Wrap in the future.

I`ll keep that in mind amigo.......if you were serious about an edible investment purchase,I highly recommend some honest to God cheese paper (wrap) to extend the life of your precious treasure
I just bought some Tony goat cheese (Tomme De Savoie) ......3 lbs from a place called Murray`s Cheese.....this guy maybe???

I never warmed up to cheese paper JayBee...found it very chewy and a bugger to digest.
Hey....I recall buying some Molinaro Marble from that guy; haven't seen him in a while though.
Curses !!!....through the magic pandering now-you-see-it, now-you-see-what we-want-you-to-see of the mighty Google......my cheese order was NOT for a goat cheese, but for the more commonly accessible cow cheese
@john-barry I had no idea that I was such a trouble maker but I think it was cheesy of you to make such a big deal about it.
LOL
If it weren`t for your conscientious instance upon propriety,Dennis (my camel) might still be languishing on one of those shelf-cap J-Hooks somewhere in a Midwestern Petco ....hung right down low enough for any passing dog to maliciously chomp at will
Funny....or vacuous??....you be The Judge! (note the GTO/Goat tie-in finale there?)
Ahh, err, Vacuously hilarious?? (And, to me personally, since I owned a brand new one, my favorite GOAT [Greatest Of All Time] GTO [Pontiac Grand Turismo Omologato] was the first one - 1964)

I was just thirteen when you got your GT Omologato car......wish I`d known you then Tony, you coulda taken us kids to get beers

I was 17 when I bought that silver-blue beauty. Although, by then, while allowed wine at home, I was not permitted to drink alcohol anywhere else. As a teen, beer never touched my lips.............awhf, squrt.....Pardon me John, I just had a short coughing/laughing spurt and coffee just came out my nose.

to think someone,at that age, could simply buy one of the greatest, most iconic cars, is akin to hearing that people can actually fly if they make a valid effort to do so...................I am amazed (and suitably impressed) yet, must maintain a sense of healthy disbelief to assuage my fragile envious ego .......IE: I know you had that GTO but sometimes it`s easier to think you didn`t
