Neo Caddy

Just a thought ..... For me the 48 fastback isn't a must have. I actually think its too "informal" of a roofline for a Cadillac! But I'm familiar with NEOs 1:43rds and own several . That said just like my Neo purchases i don't buy them when released or at full price! I've noticed if you wait 6 months a a year you can generallly still find that release you wanted and for sometimes 30-50% LESS then retail! I suspect the same may apply to this 1:24th release ! That said If I find one down the road for $60-80 I'll buy it! It's worth having but to me not a must have! Time will tell 😉

I use that method as well for the models I am less interested in.

I learned a lesson with DM, not to wait if it something I really have to have. So I always order early so to avoid disappointment. But AE offers some great prices if you wait a bit.

I agree about sometimes finding NEO models for less in a few months after release. I have bought a few that way. The problem usually is color - the more popular color combos sell quickly and seldom show up on ebay or wherever. I'm still looking for cars in rare colors and might never find them, at least at a reasonable price.

Phil, I understand your thinking on this model but if you saw the quality of the actual model I'm betting you would add it in a minute. The paint is beyond any FM or DM in my collection. Just my two cents worth.

I wouldn't doubt that Bob, just funds are tIght now and some other priorities!

As mentioned I know what NEO and AE is capable in 1:43rd and can only imagine how nice this Cadillac is "live". It's just not a must have to me. Is it worth $90-120 im sure it IS! I just have to be disciplined 😕😡

10/4 on the discipline.

The Neo '49 Cadillac Club Coupes are a dream come true for me. Personally, I love that roof line.

I had always hoped that FM or DM would eventually make a version of the '49 Club Coupe. That was not to be. So when Neo came out with it, I was thrilled. The price was good, too. Then I discovered that the 1:18 version was discounted over $60. I was ecstatic. Now I have both. Ok, so the hood, doors & trunk don't open. I rarely use those features on my die-cast models anyway. I am very impressed with my first resin models. I hope Neo does more 1:24 vehicles that FM & DM did not do.

Mark I agree about colors. It seems black would be a popular color for this particular Cadillac plus it's NEO's first 1/24th and the issue price is reasonable. For these reasons I would think this model will hold it's own and possibly sell a bit higher. With all the positive comments NEO may raise the issue price of their next 1/24th release or a subsequent repaint of the current '49 Cadillac Club Coupe.
