New 1:24 scale Models-Coming soon!!

I have been blessed to always feel guidance from above in all aspects of my life. I have found in my life that when I make good choices and do the right things I am almost always rewarded.

A few weeks ago I put out a post that was a difficult one to write. We announced our decision to distance ourselves from Automodello and to no longer promote their line due to shady business practices by the company and its owner. Since then something incredible has happened. We have been asked to partner with a well known and exceptional line to produce 1:24 scale models for you. It has always been our goal to make sure that you all have new, quality 1:24 scale models produced at a fair price. This was our intention when we first approached Automodello and created the 1:24 scale line and that continues to be our focus!

We are hoping to be able to announce our first offerings in 1:24 scale next month. Until then, just know that Mint Models and Legacy are committed to you and your collection.

Gr8! Maybe they can make Geo. Schire's extensive wish list a reality!

I definately agree, Al. The George Schire wish list would be a great place to start if looking for some earthly guidance.

Ms. Peters...now, 'THAT' is what I call 'great news'. LOL!

Since both of the Mints have been out of the game; we've had a few new offerings from First Gear, NEO, M2, Jada, Greenlight, ACME and (cough) Automodello...to name a few.
I'm sure you've done your research on what's selling and what isn't.
Your model selection's' won't be an easy decision.
But; it's fair to say that whether you get the '1st time' collector interested or not, you've got a group of existing collectors VERY ANXIOUS. LOL!

The potential is there to revive a hobby that did NOT go away after all. (It's been right at '5' years since DM left us.)

Let's all realize...it's a marathon, not a sprint. It'll take time.

WOW! Exciting News! Thanks Michelle, you've brightened my day and lifted my hopes that 1:24 scale is NOT dead! I also feel somewhat honored that Al Dorado and Bruce Gibbons have given mention of some of my personal "Wish List" cars being possible selections for consideration.

Now LOL, if both Al and Bruce can find the "c" on their keyboards and insert it in my last name, it will be spelled correctly. Smile

In the meantime, my ears and eyes are waiting Michelle for some forthcoming news.

All done, George. I think your list makes so much sence because it can be so easily related to. The absence of any esoteric variations your list offers much needed hope of at least some of your picks being modeled one day. With Miss Peters clear enthusiasm for 1/24 it will be up to us as collectors to support her endevours because success with her first release will give confidance to produce more models and from a sound financial footing. I'm sorry I am being so preachie, but I see Miss Peters as offering us what is probably a once in a life time opportunity to in some way, kick start again our favorite, but currently stalled, modeling scale. This truly is a big deal.

Don’t forget to do some of the great classics of the 30s and 40s

I agree with everything you say Bruce. I've never given up the ship that maybe 1:24 scale can live on, and Michelle's great announcement certainly gives us hope that it will have life again.

The reason I started "My WISH LIST" is not for the reason that everyone would or has to agree with my picks, but rather to stimulate the thinking that there are still so many "undone" cars that would be fun to have.

And wouldn't it be nice if whoever the company is that Michelle is hinting to, would give us NEW replica's that haven't been produced before? I sure think it would!

I think you, me, and everyone on this site (and I'm betting collectors who aren't) would welcome 1:24's other than the usual '57 Chevy's, '59 Cadillac's, and Corvettes. Nothing wrong with those cars, but we certainly have a market for cars outside that realm.

And for sure I will support them. I will never run out of room for 1:24 scale on my shelves, because no matter how many cars get produced, I will find a place for them.

I'm excited about this announcement, and can't wait to see what will follow.

As far as I'm concerned, they can be static resin, plastic, or die-cast. I just want 1:24.

I Agree George

Let us get some "new" models. We have far too many Chevys, Vettes and the like. I can't wait to see what comes along.
