If you want resin static models, go buy then elsewhere.
Good going Michelle!

I just may have to get back into collecting 1:24 again. Oh the pocketbook!
Intriguing news. I hope they are resin with excellent proportions and no childish opening features.
Fidelity to scale is lost each time a door, hood, trunk, gas filler door, etc is forced to be a moving part. They never fit right and always run the risk of accepting paint differently. A one piece body with separate plated grilles, bumpers, and tail lamps will satisfy discerning buyers who prefer to see a correct looking car and not a mishmash of parts. Stance is also important and requires both detailed research to learn original ride heights as well as viewing many period images of the car to see how they looked on the road. One huge plague in the 1/43 resin market is a European company locating one specific car and having it duplicated in China with wrong trim, colors, accessories, etc. to exactly match that one poorly restored car. Seems having a car made in China is easy, but having a good or excellent car made in China is altogether different.
Sincerest best wishes for a rousing success with the 1/24 scale cars you bring to market.
I know what you are saying, David, but it seems that diecast models made to sell into the small collector market would be too expensive to produce in these now reduced numbers. Resin is best suited to small run production. Excellent paint jobs are still possible and authentic detail can be produced by the photoetching process. However, manufactures of diecast 1/18 scale would no doubt suggest otherwise.
Detailed interiors can still be offered, but better viewed on top down models. No more opening doors, hood and truck lids. Models offered at one time by the Mints were great with all the wizz-bang features and top detail but they are not here now, they've gone and we as collectors of 1/24 have very little to choose from - the pickings are slim as. I think that I'm right when I say that when it comes to the models we would like to add to our collections, it could be that it's either or nothing and that is about the extent of it.
I'm on board with you on that 100%, Jay.
Potentially great news depending on subjects selected.
Good news indeed. It will be interesting to see how this develops.
I certainly hope for new subjects, not just re-dos of previously released models.

I agree John, we need completely new stuff.
And affordability
I am happy to confirm that the first 2 models are new subject matter!
Corrected, George!
Yes, very important.
That's more great news. The 'tease' continues! Works for me! LOL!
