DDA responded very quickly to my comments. I've copied them below. Looks like collectors of Australian 1/24s are going to be well catered for with a "never say never" response to U.S makes: For those who missed them I posted pics of their latest releases a couple of days ago.
Hi Geoff,
Firstly thank you for reaching out, and secondly I am stoked to hear you enjoy the new 1.24th range I have developed. Thirdly, in regards to future models we have a Tonne of variants already in the pipeline, we have also just tooled up lc/lj toranas and will be doing a heap of new tooling for the XY and Xw, also the HT HK HG monaros. We also have a few big fords slotted in for early next year. Also, teaser.... utes, wagons and panelvans. But that's all I will say about that for now haha. Thank you for the kind words in the forum post, I appreciate you opening up the channels to the American collectors. I know they will appreciate the 1/24 and the detail in what we have produced. These cars were all about bang for buck, and with the ever rising 1.18 costs it just made sense for me to look at a better option.
Thanks again for reaching out,

thanks Jesse, firstly do you mind if I post your reply to the forum? Also those guys are screaming out for 50s and 60s U.S cars in 1/24. I understand there are restrictive licensing issues but as there are no high grade 1/24 producers around at the moment the market is wide open.
Really looking forward to what you have coming,
all the best
Geoff
Hi Geoff,
You can post my reply there no worries. We have looked into doing American cars in the past but tends to be alot of saturation of licensing already. However never say never, I will do my best to usher in some new generation models. For the world where possible, thanks again for the kind words.

I am a big fan of many Australian cars, so this sounds very intriguing. I will have to keep an eye on that site.
