Not diecast related. Need a tel# for Norton anti-virus. Have copied two from their help sites, but after dialing all I get is a recording telling me that it is a non-working #.
Roger, my Norton System Works shows...
this phone number 1-800-927-3995.
Don't know if it works but hey why not?!?
Roger if you can't get the answer here...
do a Google search for "Major Geeks". It's a free forum and those guys can fix any PC problem. Good luck!
Thanks, Curt & Frank, I'll try both. Actually not having any problems except that I bought a renewal update on line and having trouble downloading it.
Not to sound like a dooms dayer but switch to Panda
Platinum. Much, much better than Norton and I believe cheaper. If not them then get McAfee
What kind of error are you getting?
What kind of connection do you have - cable, DSL, modem? Here's a link to their help & support site http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/
BTW, I have found that I can buy the software cheaper at BJ's than directly from Symantic. And you get it on a CD.
I've used both Norton AV and McAfee. Dumped both. I wasn't impressed with either over time.
I now use CA eTrust E-Z Anti-Virus. Works better IMO and is free for the first year. Panda is highly rated and would be another one I would try. But I will never use McAfee or Norton again. Support for both are horrible, especially Norton.
I disagree! Norton is the BEST!
Been using it at home for years. We use McAfee at work and all we have is problems. I'll stick with Norton, thank you.
Was finally able to talk with some one using Jim's link. Cancelled online purchase and will pick up software tomorrow, probably Norton.
Frank, all I was able to get from the # you supplied was an answering machine telling me that it was not a working #. The # I finally got through on was the fifth one tried, all supposed to be their #s and, in fact, some taken from their support pages; very frustrating. Thanks for all your help.
