I was looking through some old Zone forums and noticed mention of a Danbury 1951 Ford Custom convertible. I absolutely love the Fords of that era, and don’t recall seeing that model or hearing about it. Since I’m a relative ‘newbie’ to Mint models I did a little research. The first images I saw were Flickr photos from our illustrious John Merritt. I was blown away, the model looks amazing, redder than any red I can recall, and I knew I had to own one! I searched eBay. Gad Zooks, as they say in the old country, ‘em are pricey! I checked Philly Mint, where I’ve found a couple of good deals, and luckily they had one, and at a really good price. Can’t wait to get it!

Its a stunner Kevin, interior is amazing. You now may want to consider its pair, the 1951 Ford Victoria.

DM actually made 6 1951 Fords. Four were pick ups and two were cars. The first was released 3/1/2006 and was the coupe in Alpine Blue & Silvertone Gray, as shown by Geoff, above. Quickly followed by the convertible in Coral Flame Red issued 10/5/2006.
