As much as I enjoy Cher's version, I always turn to Cohn and Lonestar.
Marc Cohn's version, of course, is quintessential since it is his autobiographical composition. It actually captures the flavor and feeling that is that part of Memphis - Beale Street, Union Avenue, the Hollywood Cafe.
