C'mon Mints! How about it? WCPD?
I'm in on that beauty. I'm in on any, and, all, Packards.
BRING IT ON.....Miami Sand or NOT......
Looks Green To Me!!!
William, go to the lounge and look at 'cool illusion'....
Beautiful!! Btw, John, I'm sending you a paddle. It can be used for stirring paint or whatever else you might want to stir;):D
Jerry, that is the most interesting thing I've seen in a long time!!
do you suppose there really are two distinct color versions of this Miami Sand Packard, or is it all just in the eyes/brain of the beholder? Did FM really get the color right, or is it just their version of the true automobile's original color? I for one scored a perfect score on the color eye charts and the Miami Sand Packard looks like a creamy mustard yellow to me, or the same as in your photo under tungsten lighting. Someone with a green Packard should post a photo under tungsten lighting for comparison, but putting them both side by side for an eyeball comparison would be best!;)
Johan, How about this......
1940 Packard 160 Rollson Convertible Victoria in Wilshire Green....
Come on FM...we know you can do this baby.

Packard guys should unite on the next WCPD 1946-1956 list.
I don't know if they plan to do a survey of cars before 1946 but it might happen. Plenty of older Packards to be made. A diecast company could get rich on Packards.
In the meantime, we can think about what Packards would fit the WCPD time frame.
I'd like to see a '49 convertible such as the one in "Back to the Future."
Then there is the '48-'50 "Woody."
Maybe a '51-'54 Convertible.
Think about it so we'll be ready when WCPD asks.

This is an easy one for TFM...
...they already have the tooling for most of it underneath the Darrin. Rather than the Conv. Sedan pictured, I'd humbly suggest to TFM to do the Darrin Victori'a stablemate(s), the Darrin Sport Sedan and/or Darrin Conv Sedan. Based on the apparent marketing/economic strategies of the other Mints, I'd doubt they'd spend the time and $$$ to make any 'new' Packards.
You've got my vote, Dan.
I put a 1949 Packard Sedan and a 1948 Woody on the Wish List this year and they did better than I thought they would. I guess there aren't too many of us old Packard die-hard fans left, it seems everyone wants muscle cars lately. I have every 1:24 Packard that has been made by the mints and will buy more if they are made.
