I was looking for one of these for a while and one came up on eBay recently, received it earlier this week. Crown Premium's 1972 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 in Nordic Blue. I love the color combination and it's nearly on par with FM's 442s, but there were a couple of things that bothered me about this car. The first thing was the gold wheels. Oldsmobile matched the rally wheels to the body color so they should have been blue. The second thing was the white dashboard, which should be black. The gold wheels lasted about a day, the dash will be tackled at a later date. Thanks for checking out.

Pete: I looked as mine and yes it does. Never really noticed it, as I just loved the car which the mints did not do. That is the only convertible I have but I have 5 Sedans of the 71 and 72 years from CP. All great models.
Fantastic Pete! Excellent find. Great work, phenomenal engine detail!
CP made some really nice models, in some cases better than the Mints at a lower price point. However, some of the more desirable ones are getting up there in price. They're great for filling in the gaps for sure!
wow, Pete you had me looking at mine again, where just as you have, it sits along side FMs green. And you're right, the wheels dont look right do they? Not at all. Dunno if I could trust myself with a blue paint job, but maybe I could give blackwash a go? I'll think on it!
Pete you are a master at painting. I can't imagine how tedious that must have been painting those wheels. In 1973 I bought a new Cutlass Supreme with those wheels and I consider them to be the best looking wheels next to Pontiac's eight lugs.
Got it and love it. I to have been meaning to tackle the dash and wheels. I just haven't ever gotten around to doing it. It looks fantastic Pete.💯😎
Hey Geoff, I painted them silver to cover the gold first, then went with a transparent (candy) blue, two coats. The silver wheels look pretty good too. I use a 000 detail brush.
