The 1932 Chevrolet Series BA Deluxe Roadster was one of 14 body styles all supplied by Fisher Body all mounted on the GM 'A' platform. Production of this one year series was 323,100 in total being a little more than half of the prior year AE "Independence" series due mostly from the Depression and Ford's introduction of their V8 models. Chevy still retained its #1 spot. The 194 cid "Stove Bolt" 6 was booted to 60 HP with increased compression and a new down draft carburetor and coupled to a 3 speed synchro-mesh. This Deluxe roadster has all the bells and whistles available that year including dual "Town & Country" horns and chromed opening vents on the engine cowl. Passenger side tail lamps and parking lights, dual spare mounted mirrors and a hinged mounting for a tool box when the rumble seat was offered.
Franklin Mint produced quite the little gem, and included magnetically held side window 'canvas' covers as well as a blanket and picnic basket for the poor guy stuck in the rumble seat. Note the cute little "Peaky" flat cap on the seat and the with Franklin Mint key with embossed Franklin Mint fob in the ignition.
Beautiful photos and I'm sure beautiful model too. But way before time and interest.

Your pictures are outstanding and compliment the model well. I have both the yellow and blue versions and love them both. Extraordinary detail of what was called a baby Cadillac back in the day. Because I can't get to mine, did the DM really include a key fob with FM on it?
@bob-jackman Here ya go, Bob!
I took this with an older camera so it's a bit grainy. You can still make out FM's compass logo. One of George Bojachuik's accessories, no doubt.
one of the last FMs sold direct from their premises in Australia. I couldn't order it faster enough after receiving the brochure. Thanks Rich
@bob-jackman That Chevy model was ,of course, a Franklin Mint Model.
It is out of my collecting range, but it doesn't preclude me from enjoying the beauty of the model. Thanks for sharing it with us Rich.💯👍😎
An outstanding model in every way. FM reissued this model in a two-tone blue, which is nice, but the yellow version has way more charm and for me, a way better looking model.

Back in the early 2000's Franklin Mint operated a store in the Las Vegas Outlet Mall. It was one of my favorite places to go when in Las Vegas. All models were half price, and I picked up one of these gems, and others, on subsequent visits. Excellent pictures Rich!
