One of my favorite T-Bird models. A simple color, that for me, really stands out.

I'm the opposite of John, I was disappointed with the color on this one, and the fact they used narrow whitewalls. With the exception of the '62 Sports Roadster, DM used pearl beige interiors on all of their '61 and '62 releases and I was hoping they were going to use an exterior color that would have gone nicely with something other than pearl beige.

I'm an old T-Bird fan and I didn't add this one to my fleet . Why?

I felt it was too drab. I have most of the other DM Birds though.

I think the color is a bit boring as well but my dad had the exact car and i could not believe they made a model exactly like it... it really was a great car and the model is very special to me for that reason!

The color may be drab, but it is typical of the Thunderbirds seen on the roads in the 1960s. Many

T-Birds in this color scheme were commonplace on the roads back then, and that is why I like it: it reminds me of actual cars I saw frequently.

Yes, exactly. That is why it is among my favorite T-Bird models,

That's a good point! My 1:1 Mark III is black and while I have all 3 1:24ths

Oddly my favorite one is the brown, for the same reasons you stated! THAT was the most popular color for the Mark in 70-71. Mine was that color originally but I opted for black. When it's redone it will be gorgeous! You do anything else to yours Larry?

Yup, that is the color for the Mark III that I am looking for.
