This is the only metal/other material combo kit I've attempted. A 1/24 MC Praga AN Beer Lorry! Bought on the local ebay. Never seen one before or since. Seller knew nothing about it, and I cant find anything. Truck body, engine, chassis are all a heavier than normal diecast metal, the tray is plastic which I've painted for a timber effect. I left the metal body etc unpainted because the effect is very realistic as it is, even down to some strategically placed scratches.

bit of a bio on the truck company and kit came with this booklet in, I believe, Czech? It shows a couple of other body style kits.

That truck looks superb, Geoff. A great addition to your collection and I don't hesitate to say this vehicle likely isn't widespread in many collections !

nicely put thanks Mike. To me finding the odd unusual or rare piece is a great part of collecting. In this case we have a rarely seen model of an obscure, at least to Western collectors, vehicle.  As for the model, the truck body metal finish just sets it off so well.

thanks Steve, Bob. It was actually quite an easy build, a lot of the metal parts clicked together and I used superglue sparingly on the bits that didnt. I'd love to find one of the other versions.
