This is a 1/25 replica of the Dodge Coronet for 1965. I got it many years ago and it is a pre-painted styrene plastic model. You could make it two different ways and it had another scoop equipped hood you could use for a hotter, drag track version.

That looks great Mike. I've seen the Polar Lights prepainted kits. I've thought about getting one. They look pretty nice. 😊

Thanks, Geno. Yes, they seem very nice and they are quite inexpensive (at least back then) and simple to build kits. The exterior is is pre-painted, but you could finish it any way you want with the tools/talent at hand.

1965 is one-model-year-only body for the Coronet.  Nice looking model Michael!

The 1965 Coronet is a good-looking automobile and could range from grocery-getter to a very powerful automobile. Since the regular big Dodge got back to true full-size status that year (121-inch wb ?), I believe that essentially the previous "full-size" Dodge was kind of re-purposed as a mid-size (Coronet) on, I think, a 117 inch wheelbase. Elwood Engle was the new styling chief and Virgil Exner was kind of made to "take the fall" for the previous ill-advised downsizing.

Some cool 'formal' pics. Like your choice of car and your choice of secondary car in pic #2.
