Bottom line is that the C8 is not a beautiful car.

Mid-engine can be dressed in a body that flows and looks of a piece , Ford GT being a good example . The Ford design is integrated and is breath-takingly sexy.The C8 looks forced and disjointed like the Honda Civic Type R.
GM may have wanted to sell an affordable mid-engine supercar and mechanically they may have succeeded, but aesthetically, it doesn't fit the bill.
