PICs: 3 preproduction pieces, enjoy
Sorry for the floor pictures, time is scarce today ?
1) Early preproduction Cadillac 1910 sample, the arrows indicate errors to be corrected.
2) Maybach photo session model, the first Maybach assembled and hand painted for FM from production parts by a modeler and then used to photograph the model and print all marketing materials. Note that the color is different from the production version. It was digitally altered later for the marketing materials to match the gray production color. I mentioned this model several weeks ago, if anyone remembers. It came from Raffi's collection.
3) The original Green Thunder artwork. Won it on an auction here, offered by George B. Thanks George!

Phil, just to clarify, this sample preceeded the black production model this is an early assembly with rough parts, perhaps FM was considering white color at the time, but more likely the prototype was made in bright colors to be easier for defect evaluation.
Interesting stuff, thanks Chav
Ahh interesting, thanks! I’d swear it was the photo for LE white but I believe you
.
The tires have no treads, that is a clue that ,,, ? the tooling was not yet finished at the time of this sample assembly. The Cadillac logo is not yet completely engraved on the radiator as well. Also many plastic parts are not painted. I haven't compared it yet side by side with the black or white version to see if there are any other major differences.
Very interesting Chav. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad the Cadillac was issued in black, it looks better. The Maybach in turquoise/black is interesting, not sure about the colors.
