PICs - Daily Dose of Diecast-Monday...

MOPAR MONDAY!

Here is one my favorite models of 50's Mopar. While DM kind of messed up the stance on this one-a quick fix made it better. The color is awesome and a fine example of 50's pastels.

Okay, what's the "quick fix"? Your photos look awesome, but my car sucks with the high rear-end, and as it is, it is one of my least favorite cars on my shelves.

George, At the time this model was released. Someone here on the board offered...

a "fix-kit" If I recall, it was a split washer that was inserted into the rear spring assembly. The model had to be taken apart to make this fix. I was nervous about doing it, but excellent instructions were included. My apologies, as I don't remember who offered the fix.
Maybe someone else does.

Okay thanks John. I'd be afraid to take the car apart. I'll just keep it in the back row of my shelf, so it's ugliness is not discovered. One of DM's rare miscues.

George I did it to mine the RIGHT way! I'll "fix" your suspension FREE

I took it apart and cut down the rear springs to make them shorter. End result is it sits at the right height AND the suspension remains functional as designed. The washer 'fix' simply squashes everything so it sit lower but no suspension give. I'll do it for you FREE just send me the model. Looks so much better when it's not doing a 1:24th scale panic stop!!!! Lol
