PICs - Daily Dose of Diecast...Saturday
Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg week comes to a close with another post of this beautiful 1930 Cord by Brooks Stevens. When I saw this car in person, I was stunned. It was one of the most beautiful cars I had ever seen. When I found about the model being issued, I jumped at the opportunity to own one. I was not disappointed.

The 1:1 example emits a SPIRIT that could be difficult to capture

an embarrasing memory.
I got sent a preproduction piece to photograph and as with most of them, they come in pieces from China. I repaired the damage and was particularly proud of resetting that tiny feather hood ornament which had neither a pin nor locating hole. I got it perfectly aligned and perpendicular.
I posted the photos here and it didn't take 10 minutes for "Eagle-Eye" Chav to notice the ornament was perfectly... backwards!
To this day, Raffi and Jim still bust my chops over that.
