251????? ... That is alot of BUTT UGLY Corvette die cast cars ......
Bob, I'm woefully behind you at only 90 model Corvettes plus my latest 1:1 acquisition. Your collection is, without a doubt, the most outstanding I've ever seen - Corvettes or otherwise.
I must agree with the masses here, though. I have never seen a butt-ugly Corvette. I'll go as far to say that no one year really even comes close to butt-ugly. I've always been an admirer of the Corvette. I've enjoyed watching the car evolve over the years. It truly is a piece of automotive Americana unlike any other marque.
On the other hand, I can think of at least a dozen cars that I could put on a list entitled Butt-Ugly. That said, I'm sure my list would cause much negative conversation around the idea that I dare say that "this car" or "that car" is butt ugly. As the old adage goes, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
I'll leave it at that.
Rick, Your new 1/1 is without a doubt a magnificent work of art. Hopefully I'll be able to see it in person one of these days soon.
Dennis, I had no idea that Corvettes were butt ugly until I read it here on the forum.
You learn something new everyday.
He he he he he ... I hear you loud clear my friend ... Loud and Clear
Well all these interesting comments about the Corvette...
Maybe I have to plan another one for tomorrow.

Bob you SURE you don't have that Corvette? The Blue one I posted?
I'm not saying this at ALL to be insulting, but you have a very substantial collection. Do you know every car you own? I have about 330-340 IF you count my 1:43rds, 1:18ths, 1:12ths, and 1:64ths. To be honest I know just about all my models aside from the 1:64ths. Im not sure what I have and I have a good 25-30 of them! ALL Johnny Lightening. And I have to give my 1:43rs a good thought to name all the ones I have and I only have about 20 or so not counting the FM cars of the 50s. So that said perhaps you "missed" it? Good for you, you'll be able to find one on ebay for around $100-$170 just be patient
I just put this one on my wish list. Great looking model. My Vette collection is poised to expand.
John ... Too Funny
John, All you have to do is feature a 61 or 62 Thunderbird and I'm sure someone will take it from there.
Well Phil, your comments prompted me to check once again and the results are the same...I do not have the blue Vette. The search is now on.
Hey everyone, chill out. My not liking Corvette's and thinking (read that as my opinion) they are not nice looking cars has nothing to do with my not understanding the impact and popularity Corvette's have had for 60+ years. It also does not mean I don't respect the love that most guys have for them.
Why is it that if someone doesn't agree with someone else's favorite car, they get blasted? I guarantee you guys, none of us would agree on every car being a nice looking car.
So again, chill out. We live in America where all of us are entitled to share an opinion and not all of us have to agree or like the same cars.

Hey Bob Jackman...hope you are able to add that Corvette to your collection. I know your love of them and how much it will mean to you to have it.

LOL, it's all in the eye of the beholder Bob.

Thanks George. Just for the record, I don't find all Corvettes appealing but I have never found one that I would consider Butt ugly. My collection includes many cars that I don't ever want to own in 1/1 scale but that's what the history of the automobile contains and therefore I try to include in miniature.
