It's definitely a love it or hate it design like the 66 Toronado
I recall reading an article in the 80s about top 10 ugliest cars and this Cadillac was in it!
Phil, how do you feel about the Toro? As a 13yo, I loved it and still do.
Sometimes though Phil, ugly cars grow in favor as time passes. I know for me, when the 1962 Plymouth's debuted, I thought they were the ugliest cars ever. But over the years, I've softened on that opinion. I think a two-door hardtop Fury for '62, is one very attractive machine.
But the '59 Cadillac? Though I have 10 of them on shelves, they are not even close to being a favorite style of mine. And if the word "ugly" is used to describe an unattractive car, the 59 Caddy tops my list.

Steve I've owned a 1:1 since 1984 ! Does that answer your question?
.
I agree ! Not that I ever thought they were ugly but "muscle" cars never did anything for me when I
Was younger. fast forward to TODAY and I wouldn't mind having a 1969 Charger, GTO or Cutlass or a Mach 1
