Great posts, who makes a 65 Impala? That has long been on my wish list.

'Welly' makes a '65 Impala. I have one. Quality is 'so -so' even for the price.

The '65 is either 1:25 or 1:26 scale - noticeably smaller than 1:24.

I have a '50s Packard and a '50s Ford from 'Welly'. Both are undersized.

I always wondered why the mints didn't understand the collector mind better.

How cool would it have been for them to pick a car and produced a model for every year of it?

For instance like your Chevy photos, start with 1950 and give us a model for every year. It would have had to be a money maker.

For a collector, having a series run like that would have been gold.

This '65 Impala is from Sunstar. It is labeled as 1:24 but is actually more like 1:25, another PIC

Well as you can tell from my photo, I would have been hooked.

I would have loved several other makes in a series like this. Ford Galaxie for one, I would have bought every one of them.

And you know I'd have been in for every year of Oldsmobiles.
