As much as I like the Continental, I believe that I would buy just the one model, maybe two certainly the car painted cream - my fav., and possibly also the converible if I could wait long enough.
Now I can see all colors parked up together looking grand as can be, and with the pix taken from 3 o'clock high I notice that all the models have what appears to be the same interior as each other.
I hate to even think this let alone write about it, feeling a bit disloyal towards the car that I beleive, subjectively, to be as near to automotive design perfection as it's possible to get, but the uniformity of the Continenals interior being the same in each car, lacking any sympathetic color coordination with the exterior paint, would bother me some and not in a good way.
They look nice all lined up. I have 2 of each.

Bothered me too so I decided to try my creative hand and changed the interior on this one. (pic)
While not perfect I find it much more pleasing IMHO. Never cared for the red/white interior except with the white car. Model was purchased here at a very inexpensive price (thank you Bob!). It had a bunch of rash on the roof, hood, and trunk which I polished. Wasn't able to get it all out but it's much better and sits proudly on one of my shelves with my other Lincolns and Continentals. I don't have them all but have the taos turquise convertible, starmist white, presidential black, and special blue on the WCF coupe (my favorite). Missing the dubonnet poly from Vickie's gifts. On the Vickie's model I just couldn't get past the "orange" and gray interior.

I told him the same thing Phil but he wouldn't listen. Just like on the turquoise 61.
I told him that the turquoise car never came from the factory with black interior. He wouldn't listen as was very characteristic of Brian. So I had Paul Hettick change the interior to turquoise metallic leather with a white top to match the car. CORRECT and much more pleasing to the eye. He also "detailed all four of my 61's. Some would consider it sacrilege but I acquired photo-etched hood ornaments through Jay Olins and Paul put them on all four of my models and put the correct wide white walls on them including the white Pebble Beach car. He pulled the tires out so that the hubcaps had the proper positioning to the rim unlike what the FM gave us. He also put bare metal foil on areas that were suppose to be chrome, chrome painted the wheel well moldings on, etc.

A vast improvement the way you've treated the interior, David.
Your detailing looks really cool and more of a natural fit with the car's overall appearance.
Yes Phil.
I have all but the BLUE one. I guess I'll keep looking
Only have the black version - would like the white one too
Gene we’re in the same boat! Lol I need the blue one too.
Tony, is the blue a color sample or can it be purchased on the open market?
Thank you! First time I've tried my hand and wanted to do it on a less than perfect model

Gene the blue version is modeled after one built by FMC for William C Ford.
Besides the special color it also has a 462 V-8 in it. I believe the 1/1 is in a private collection in Florida.
