PICS: Okay, I know 1:24 scale is all but dead, but I WANT these two Plymouth's.
1961 and 1962

Why do I want them? Just for their respective oddness and unique looks. Both would look awesome on my car shelves!

Well, I could do the '61; but, I'd pass on the '62.
I'd pass on both of them, they're fugly!
The 61 noway but I could go for a 62 Dodge Polara 500 with the 413!! Neck breaking acceleration

And Then Some
That's the very reason I want them. As a 10 year old kid when the 61's and 62's were new, they were just part of my landscape as a kid. To be able to add them to my collection would be a treasure.

I'd be honored to 2nd that motion George!
I have the 61 both as a hardtop and convertible in 1/43 scale.
61 Convert!
O.K. I was in H.S. - anyway, a friend's father had a white convert - and it said "Golden Commando" on the front fender - so we would ride on the top of the back seat, top down, and hang on while the "Torqueflite" trans went thru the gears full throttle- Wow!-you did not want to fall off and I never did!
+1
Thanks Tony! Looks like it's just you and me pal. Man, they'd be great in 1:24.

Collectors of 1/43, Bob, are pretty well served and any attempts I make to enlarge them out to 1/24 have proven to be but miserable failures
However, I will endeavor to persever.
I understand your desire - these are time markers in your child hood .. I get that
Bruce, I collect all scales and must admit that for the past few years while 1/24 and, to a lesser degree 1/18, models have diminished. 1/43 on the other hand have never been more abundant. This happened at the same time I ran out of room for additional 1/18 and 1/24 models. As it turns out, it seems there's always room for one more 1/43 scale. I find there's a certain charm about all the scales and personally don't have a favorite.
