I came across this last remnant of what I believe was the plastic model of a Chevrolet Mako Shark II that  I got when I was about 9 or 10 years old. It is a Mark IV V-8 427 C.I.D. V-8 (?) engine that I assembled when I was about 9 or 10 years old.

These are some quick phone-camera snapshots of the motor when I recently came across it in among all the items/junk that still exists.

I think the model automobile and engine were in 1/24 or 1/25 scale.

Thanks ! I am guessing this may have been part of perhaps a Mako Shark II show car, maybe from the time period of 1961 - 1963. It seems to be a Mark IV 427 cid V-8 with possibly a 4 bbl or three 2 bbl carbs ..... or maybe it was fuel injected.

This is all speculation but I wish I had the original model this was mounted in. Just possibly, the model may still exist in some ancient forgotten dusty box in the attic of the old family home !
