Hi guys, I'm adding a island and gas pumps to my garage diorama. Do any of you know a good source for miniature gas station signs? I want to add a corner Texaco sign. Or is this something I'll have to scratch build? Thanks.😊
It might be possible to color-copy vintage gasoline station signs and mount them on a scale billboard or a sign and then use it as part of a photograph or diorama.
Geno, Signs ? you maybe able to just get them from a search/images such as the one I got below. For other garage signage, check out 'Etsy' search 1/24 scale......... Downloads are normally pretty cheap, but shop around.. as for the actual sign post it would be easy to make from scratch
@diecast1-24cars I remember seeing a very cool model kit with Texaco pumps, signs and accessories on eBay.It’s been awhile but I remember thinking I’d like to get one. Now that you brought it up I think I’ll look it up. Ok, I’m back, found one!
I was going to suggest downloading and minimising signs to print off but I see there are quite a few already available. Quite a few Texaco signs around just not in 1/24 that I could find. Look forward to seeing the finished product Geno
Thanks guys, I have the Gearbox pumps coming. I'll hand make the island. I was just trying to find a pre-made tall street corner sign. I will also look for items to make my own when my wife and I get back down to Hobby Lobby. I do appreciate the input. You guys rock. I'm just adding to my existing garage dio.💯😊
@geno The silver gas pump you ordered is in 1/8 scale. The 1/25 in silver was kind of hard to find when I got it a couple of years ago. It will say 1/25 on the package front and won’t be a coin bank.
Yeah Kev, those were just generic pics. Both I ordered are 1/25. I have 40 bucks in both including shipping. 😊
@geno Sounds like a good buy Geno, can’t wait to see the finished product!
Check out decals made by Microscale. Though you have 1/24 scale cars, you might find some O-scale Texaco decals that could work. I used some of their Sinclair decals for a gas station I built for my 1/43 scale cars.
