Question: Has anyone who owns a WCPD car ever had one with a paint issues (rash, etc)?
Yes, I have over 20 WCPD's and paint rash is common
The '61's and '62's seem the worst, some are nearly covered in it, others have rash just here and there. The '64's not quite so bad, and the '59's are the best, so far, just a few with light rash in spots. They had no rash when purchased new and are displayed in the open. I still display them because I like them so much, I just avoid looking too closely at them in bright light. I've tried removing rash, it is difficult when it is severe, the results were unsatisfactory (this was on a black '62, black really shows the rash badly).
Yes to rash. I do have a few that have developed slight paint rash.
Nothing else so far. I have 53 of the Impala models from 59, 61, 62 & 64, so I consider that pretty good.

I have 17 WCPD cars and yes to some minor paint rash on a few of them. Nothing major though.

Thanks for the replies.
Either you guys are lucky with these cars or I am VERY unlucky 53 models and only a few with rash, that's something. I counted 26 in my collection and most have some rash. The rash on the hoods of a couple of 61's look really bad but they are on light colored cars so doesn't show up unless looked at closely. I wonder what happened, maybe I'm snake bit.
I have a lot of WCPD cars need to check on them now
I have four WCPD and none of them are exhibiting any problems.
I have 12 WCPD cars and all are without any problems.
I'm in the same boat you are, Chris. I have 25 and many have poor paint - especially on the hoods.
Two of my '61's look like the hood was painted with a brush.
At one time I had about 50 of Brian's models
I monitored them over the years and the rash was getting worse every time I looked at them. I sold all but a few 59's (my favorite year) didnt want to get caught with my pants down
