Questions about the LECC. I see that Mint Models and I'm assuming Legacy are selling this car. How many have been made for this purpose? Price is listed as higher than what members have paid for theirs but somehow the exclusiveness of owning one has now been diminished. I'd like to hear others thoughts on this.

I agree with diminshed

I have in my collection every LECC and I thought that they were special and special cars chosen to be the LECC's. I have always displayed them as a group and enjoy the display regularly. Now it would appear they have become a common model for anyone to have so what is so special about being a member of D4C and therefor being an owner of a special model

Question is...Are there more produced than stated?

In the past I've seen many different people sell "several" soon after the release.

There were no extra pieces made.

In the case of the Auburn, there were 230 pieces made based on the number of orders placed. The only extra ones for sale are because of a few cancellations and people that did not pay. Those models are now available for purchase to club members. The increased price is to cover club membership dues that goes to Jay Olins.

We also listed one each on Legacy and Mint Models eBay at $359.95. Not to sell it, but to promote and market the Club and Diecast.org

Hi Ean, I just unboxed mine last night. When you remove the plinth with the car attached,

You will find a foam insert under the plinth. The car's top is in a cut-out in the foam. If you did not receive the top, I would contact Jay Olins for one.

Some members have always bought two cars, which is the limit.

In the past I was under the impresson a few extra were made to cover defects. Now Michelle has stated they made no extras. I had problems with my 39 Ford as the striping was coming off. Jay had no extra to replace mine and I still have it. Thank Goodness I bought two.

I began buying two each with the 5th Car which is the Mark II Convertible. I am glad to have the extra & No I don't plan to sell any.

The 12th, This Auburn did not really excite me so yes I did only buy one. Maybe other members did the same so the production numbers were lowest of all of the LECC's?

The real rare one is one of the 25 Mercedes Benz 300's I was a Lucky Lottery winner of one of those so I am very pleased. The standard one had a Black top the Special had a White Hardtop as well as a certificate stating its Rareity signed by Jay, Michael & Tony.

The members that never finished their orders are the ones who lose. A few redistributed pieces would hardly hurt the exclusivity of this fine, Raffi are you looking? a MASTERPIECE! Thank You it is better than pictures show or do Justice.

Even the #5 car had a few pieces extra that Jay sold after fulfilment.
