Just now, recalling the afternoon I met up with Rich Sufficool and John McBride, I have to say what an honor it was to work at FM making the models for your approval. Prior to FM, I was a Respiratory Therapist. I have degrees in Biology and RT…what??? Lungs…air cleaner….same difference! The one thing I did walk away with when I left FM were the people and friendships I made with staff and even customers! I met many of you at the annual car show and to me it was a thrill! Friendships that have lasted to this day!
My motto at FM was, “Get down on the floor and play cars with our customers. It’s the only way you can understand what they want!”. Marketing always looked at me as if I needed intervention, but I stood by that motto! I still do in what I do today. I never felt I was better, nor did I ever dismiss an email. I recall a collector coming to FM and no one wanted to show him around. I was still new and asked who this guy was. When they told me, I was shocked no one would spend the time. I offered my time to do so. Took the guy to lunch as our cafeteria was really good! As it stands, he and I are still friends after all these years! He’s even been to my home!
I feel that way about most of the people here! So, the bottom line…Thank you all for the great memories and experiences you all have given me over the years. It means more to me than you will ever imagine!
