This is their 1991 Mazda 787B Group C prototype designed primarily for the 24Hrs of Le Mans. It became the first winner by Mazda or any Japanese manufacturer as well as the one and only winning car with a Wankel rotary engine as the following year they were banned. I only know of two more in this series... a Porsche 917 and am early 60s Ferrari barchetta. I love the striking livery on this car.
