This is one of 2 models I picked up at a toy show in Portland, Ind. The other being the DM '49 Olds Woody LE. I got both models for a 20 dollar bill, no boxes or paperwork mind you, but I didn't care, I was happy to add these 2 to my collection. Thanks for looking guys. 😊

That's a great score Geno.  One that I still need to add.

$20 will barely get you a coffee & bun, most places. As Tony says, this is a steal. Stunning. too.

Thanks guys, the rest of the story, I had actually just gotten to the show. The vendor had the 2 models sitting amongst an array of toy tractors, etc. The only car diecasts on his table. I'd picked up the Buick and was looking it over, the guy comes down and tells me if I'm really interested I could have both for the 20 dollars, he said he'd rather me take 'em home than him having to pack them back up and take them home with him. That was all it took, I couldn't get my wallet out fast enough,  lol.😁

One of my all time favorite models. Your pictures make it difficult to tell if it's 1/24 or 1/1 scale. The Oldsmobile wagon is also a prized model. You did well my friend.

Geno I agree, you stole those two models, what a great catch!  Certainly a bargain and I'll add that it's proof that not having the boxes is not that big of a deal.  Thank you for affirming this.

Making room to enjoy and display our little cars is enough of a challenge, without having to have a special closet or room to store boxes too.  And when I think of the collectors here on the Forum's that have thousands of cars, having to have a place for thousands of "boxes" is beyond my comprehension.

So  for me, here is the bottom line, when I pass on from this planet, if all of my in perfect condition models were to go to a fine home of another collector for even as little as $20 each, I'll be happy knowing that I've made someone happy.

You're the man Geno!!!

Thanks again guys. George, I do have the boxes in the attic for the ones I got with them. But I have more than I can count that I got without boxes. Not a deal breaker for me. Especially if I got them for a great price. I'm into displaying the cars, not the boxes.😁
