True story: My last duty station in the Army was Letterman General Hospital - Presidio of San Francisco. I befriend a a soldier/patient who had a badly torn up right leg. He was from Daly City, just south, down the coast. He could not drive his, then, 10 year old four-speed 1958 Corvette. So I was the driver to take him home on weekends and around the Bay Area. Same identical car as this - charcoal with red interior and white walls!!
