I noticed the "connies" were gone.  Ironically, the '58 Chevy is one of the very few '50's cars that I think the connie kit looks good on.

I never thought of them as connies either and I must say that I love that feature on the various MK. Lincolns; especially that gorgeous '69 MK. III.

I don't like Connie Kits on cars.  I only said that "ironically I don't mind them on the '58 Chevy".  It's the only car that I think they look okay on.

Another variation could be  the different Chrysler products of the day and even some Studebaker models that came equipped with what people called "toilet seats"  -  spare covers further up on the trunk:
