Southern collectors. Jeff M and I are trying to see if there is some interest in a get together down here in Florida. I know that there are a few of you guys that live down this way. So, that being said, if you have an interest in organizing a swap meet or just a general fun time to meet in a central location sometime in the Spring or Summer, if you'll send me your email address, I'll compile list and set up a group email. Maybe we can organize something down here to be fun. We thought maybe Ocala or Orlando area since its central. That wouldn't be too too far a drive for those in Alabama or Georgia. Please, by all means make suggestions. Most of the Rally's and other things are up north and cost prohibitive to attend. Here is my email. wstaalenburg@comcast.net
Maybe we could talk T. into coming down as well and show us how to take such wonderful pictures with the digital cameras!!!! LOL
Bill, sounds great to me,
Only problem is we'll have to give "T" combat pay just to get him on a plane !!!!!!
I Urge You Guys To Get Together...
A group of us in southeastern Pennsylvania, Northern Virginia and Maryland have gotten together a number of times, using the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum in Hershey, PA as a base of operations. We are cordially welcomed by the Museum staff and have created several exhibits of our diecast cars to compliment the Museum's 1:1 displays. It's great fun to get together with fellow addicts and their spouses and friends. A tour of the Museum and lunch afterward is always a part of our gatherings. More info HERE. Bill, please email me and I can give you additional details on how it works for us.

I am part of the Keystone group and it is nice getting together with other collectors. Might I suggest the Don Garlits museum of drag racing in Ocala. I was there many years ago and it was an interesting place.
I would be interested. I'm in SW Fla. I used to go to Media and have met many fine collectors, with varied insights into our hobby. Let's bring the spirt south!
Bill, You can count me in as well...........
and I think Don Garlits Museum would be a good choice. Not only does he have a great drag racing museum but his personal antique car collection is also on display. It would be nice if we could schedule it when Don could be there.I,ve known Don And Pat for many years and they are wonderful people to be around.
Good deal Roger, pass along the email address.
Have not heard from Martin S, (South Florida) Dan V. (Orlando), John B. (Tampa).
Keep us informed on the BB please.
I had you on my list Ron. Ed S is supposed to be emailing me with suggestions on how to begin organizing this since I'm a rookie and new to it. LOL Maybe you can help with getting hold of Big Daddy since you know them personally. Ocala sounds like a good central location.
Bob can you help us with some suggestions on how to organize this. Thanks. wstaalenburg@comcast.net My first thought is to get an email group established of interested collectors, then formulate an agenda or schedule. What do the get togethers consists of.
Im in! Lets do it!
It is still an interesting place if your into drag racing history.
There are also several classic cars mostly from Don's past (his first car, etc).
I also belong to a Nascar Diecast group, and we had a get-together at Don's a few years ago. It was great. We called and found out when Don was going to be there, and we got to meet him and get autographs.
If circumstances allowed, I would be interested
Perry, send me you email address anyway, that way you can stay in the loop on this whether you can come or not. Email is wstaalenburg@comcast.net
