This 1956 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75 SS678-X by Hess & Eisenhardt served Eisenhauer, Kennedy and Johnson although relegated to a chase car when Kennedy received his Lincoln Continental. It was heavily modified to an open top car with sideboards. Its 365 cid V8 produced 305 HP linked to a 4 speed Hydra-Matic which was enough power to pull its 7000 lb armored weight. This was a stable mate of a similarly built hardtop that was was painted in that dark "Presidential Blue". This car has been fully restored and is occasionally shown at prestigious events. Model is part of Yat Ming's Presidents Series.
The Yat Ming presential limos are excellent models at a very affordable price.
Sweet, it's Caddy day. I have this one as well and it's amazing. Plus, I love the '56 Caddy, so it's the only way I get one in 1/24. Great pics and history Rich.💯👍
yes Bob, and I think we agreed recently how good it would have been for Yat Ming to make stock versions of each of the cars in their Presidential series. The Yat Ming presential limos are excellent models at a very affordable price.
