As Franklin Mint was unsuccessfully negotiating for a license to model the Barris Batmobile, George Bojaciuk and team mate John McBride were putting together a proposal for an accessory Bat Cave after the TV series. I have the proposal sketch of the Bat Cave by John McBride.

Batman 006
Batman 012
Batman 022

Too bad this wasn't done; it would have looked very cool.

That would have been an astoundingly cool accessory for such a replica ! It is unfortunate this didn't come to pass.

What a great find!  An interesting trivia tidbit regarding the ABC-TV "Batman" series.  When it was cancelled after season 3, NBC-TV had anticipation of picking up the series for another season.  However, this did not happen because ABC had destroyed the sets for the Batcave, and NBC decided it wouldn't be cost affective to have to re-create the sets.  How sad!

@georgeschire It is sad. There were two shows back then that the Hollywood celebs were lining up either to be the next supervillain or get a quick cameo at the window when Batman and Robin were climbing to side of a building. The other show was "Laugh In" for cameos just to say "Sock it to me".

So right you are!  Adam West said in his book "Back to the Batcave" that he never understood why the ABC brass demolished the show Wayne Manor and Batcave sets.  He said it was like almost the first thing they did upon deciding to not renew the show for another season.  Immediately upon getting the word that they'd cancelled the show, NBC contacted them to purchase the "sets", and were advised they were already gone.  In my opinion, the ABC executive that made that stupid should have been fired on the spot.

I'd do the same to those responsible for destroying all those wonderful concept cars!
