Buick continued the Skylark brand for 1954 with a new design incorporating cues from the Wildcat ll concept and this time on a lighter Century chassis over the '53's heavy and longer Roadmaster giving the car more performance capability along with the 322cid, 200 hp 'nail head' V8 and the 2 speed 'Dynaflow' automatic. One of the standout features on the Skylark included flared, accent painted wheel wells and Kelsey-Hayes 40 spoke wire wheels. The luxe interior included "waffle pattern" upholstery. Production for this last year was only 836 units.

Rich, Great shots of all 3. I do not remember the white or green versions. I do have the red one though.
What beautiful cars ! Fine pictures of these Buicks, Rich.
What an impressive trio Rich. Well photographed!
Love the way the chrome sparkles in your pics Rich. I think this means our models are on their way?
@geoff-jowett I'm told they're being shipped as we speak.
Little rain on the parade from your usual rivet counter: the steering wheels have inverted decals.
Otherwise, on first glance, I like the realistic look of the smooth transitions between painted and chromed parts as well as the color choices.
Also, the square grid of the seats is beautifully rendered.
@chav These pics are the first hand builds sent for approval, not the production pieces. They are sent to be nit picked. These are the slight faults that show up under macro with notes sent back to the vendor.
@chav or the steering wheel could be on a 180 degree lock! 😯
There is only one correct position of the decal in relation to this 3-spoke steering wheel.

I hope you are right Rich, will see the production pieces. The rumor is production pieces are already here. The problem is these high-definition beautiful images will stay online forever even if the production model is corrected ... perhaps that is only my problem.
Also, the hub caps have decals "Power Steering", where did that come from?
Otherwise, beautiful model! Finish is top-notch.
@chav These pics are 11 months old and captured the first round to review for changes. Actually I was amazed how well they were compared to the usual hand builds that, believe me, are never built and finished by their A-team.
Looking forward to receiving my Lido Green version!
Looking forward to receiving my Lido Green version!
My "Lido Green" Skylark arrived today. It's fantabulous! Â

Just a personal opinion here. I wish the Matador Red Skylark would have had a "White" roof. And the Arctic White Skylark would look really nice with a "White" roof. Not sure how hard (or costly) it would have been to make each roof different, but I would have been okay with it. Â
