I remember Chrysler's big advertising campaign in 1956 for their radically restyled 1957s as the "Forward Look". I was definitely on board with this new lineup. The flagship Chrysler lineup feature the manly looking 300C with its gaping maw and minimalist trim. The luxury marque was the more feminist styled New Yorker with a more subdued grill and full length side spears. I love the gradual gradation from nose to tail fins graced by a bubble top that GM would get more credit for a few years later. Performance wise, the New Yorker was no slouch with its 392 cid "Fire Power" Hemi V8 hooked to their fabulous push button 3 speed Torque Flite transmission. I love the upholster that DM recreated with contrasting seat and back inserts and delicate piping. In an age of bulky, over-chromed squared-off land yachts, that Chrysler was both sleek and chic.

Yep, a gorgeous ride for sure. I'm happy to have this one and the companion convertible in my collection. 👍

DM did a great job on this Chrysler but I must say that for me it's the '55 & '56 styling that rules!

great pics Rich, thank you. I too have this and the companion convertible along with the 300C. When I first discovered the D4C site, about 2000? the 300C was voted the model of the year! I agree the continuous body flow line with the end of the fin as the tip is a beautiful design feature.
